Apple updated Tiger to .11 this afternoon, so I fired up Software Update the second I saw the news over on Mac Rumors. (I’m not a total zombie, but I am particularly susceptible to OS updates and shiny objects.) The reboot chugged a little longer than the last few updates but came up fine.

I’ll upgrade the PowerBook to Leopard sometime after Christmas, but I want to get an external drive first to run Time Machine on the initial install. And I’d like to add another 512 MB of memory to have a full 1 GB so I can adequately handle Leopard’s awesomeness. Leopard is supposedly the last new OS for PowerPC machines, so I guess I’ll have to buy a new MacBook Pro when Liger comes out.

Safari 3 is included in the .11 update, but I’ve tooled around with it a bit and still like Firefox better.

UPDATE:  Peter is obviously pushing “brains” (deep voice, vacant, slowly: braaaaaaiiiins) to be the most tagged word on this blog — ahem, Oprah! — so here’s one from me.
